I have been craving a little more warmth in our master bedroom. I have also been swooning over everything Studio Mcgee at Target. So, I decided to do a little spring bedroom refresh with Studio Mcgee. What I love about this line at Target is that it’s ever changing but always on trend. Even beyond being on trend her pieces are always very timeless and interchangeable. It also doesn’t break the bank which is awesome, especially for someone like me who changes up spaces in my home quite frequently.
Studio Mcgee Artwork
The statement piece in this spring bedroom refresh with Studio Mcgee is for sure the artwork above our bed. The beautiful muted spring colors in the art make a huge impact. She has a great mixture of wood, white and gold framed artwork at Target. I have a little bit of each. I love the landscape piece on my nightstand so much. The corals and pinks in it are so pretty. Studio Mcgee pieces are also great because they are never overly feminine. I always like to make sure our room feels like an inviting space for me and my husband.
Nightstand Styling Tips
- layers, layers, layers
- I love to start with a tray or a stack of books and then layer on top of that
- you can also layer back to front– think a picture frame/artwork and then a vase in front of it
- practice makes perfect
- I rarely get it “just right” on my first try, play around with it a little bit and see what you love the best
- hide the ugly necessities
- I have my apple watch and phone charger on my nightstand but you can barely see them because they are discretely tucked behind items
Spring Bedding
I added in fluffy yellow pillows and a textured floral pillow to achieve a spring bedding look. I also love adding in textured quilts and throws to make it feel really cozy. I am all about a cozy and inviting master bedroom. I love the gauze blankets by Studio Mcgee. The fluffy yellow pillows also come in a ton of other color options. A pro tip for shopping Studio Mcgee at Target: the items you want may sell out quick so turn on post notifications to never miss a restock. I had to do this with multiple items in my room but they were worth the wait. Want a look at my room before? Check out this post here and never miss a post by subscribing to my newsletter here.
