I am finally bringing you our almost done master bathroom remodel. This is a project we started over a year ago when we put the addition on our home. But, when you have three kids and your husband does most of the work- projects take longer than anticipated. A little background, when we found out we were expecting Holly (our youngest and third child) in our three-bedroom home; we decided to add on a master suite.
It was a long term goal of ours and it just got pushed to the forefront. But, after finishing the bedroom and closet; the bathroom got put on pause. My husband wanted to do a lot of the work on his own and he works long hours so here we are. The space isn’t finished yet we just need to finish up the shower but hey this is real life! I’m just excited to share the progress we’ve made.
Usually when I start a space I search Pinterest high and low for all of the inspiration. But, with this space it just kind of organically came to be. Since, we took our time I was able to go back and fourth and really decide what I loved best. When I told family and friends we were doing gold fixtures they looked at me like I was NUTS. But, I am so glad I went with my instinct on this one and stuck with gold. I think it’s beautiful. It’s not the gold you had in your home back in the 90’s its a much more tasteful brushed gold.
This adorable side table is from Poly and Bark and it is so good! While my husband was putting it together I asked him if it was good quality and he said yes! I honestly think it was a first, he NEVER says the furniture I buy is good quality. I feel like it’s so hard to find good stuff online and Poly and Bark always has the best quality, on-trend pieces for your home.
You can use this link and the code TEEENZY50 to get $50 off your $100 order. The name of this table is the Andover side table. It is a walnut finish with genuine marble for the top. Pro tip: makes for a great flat lay photo surface if you’re a content creator!
The Details
I wanted the vibe for the master bathroom to feel glam, classic and boho! We decided on bright, white, shaker style cabinets to give the space a classic look. I added in pops of greenery and pinky corals for the boho feel. The mixture of acrylic and gold handles and my vanity area gave it the glam feel.
The hooks between our mirrors are one of my favorite details in the bathroom. I love that you can hang plants, hand towels or even jewelry from them. They are beautiful and functional. They are also a super simple addition, I used command strips to hang them. Last, but certainly not least the wallpaper is my favorite statement in the room.
Wallpaper
Wallsneedlove has my favorite wallpaper. It is peel and stick and goes on and comes off without damaging the walls. I chose the Black Leaves Wall Mural. How it works is you give your wall measurements and they create a custom roll of the wallpaper that is ready to cut and hang. So, its pre-measured and made for your space.
If you’ve ever done wallpaper you know how difficult it can be; Wallsneedlove makes it so much easier. I did this space all by myself! Want to see another wallpaper project in my home? Check out this post here.

We still need to finish the shower, add in shelves in the little corner nook, pick out a rug and decide on backsplash but for the most part the space is complete and functional. And, that makes me smile! We were originally thinking tile for our shower but after talking about the upkeep my husband voted no. I’d love to hear if you have any recommendations for a non-tile shower? Let me know in the comments.
