Outdoor Living Space

I’m taking this rainy day to finally write my outdoor living space post. I am so happy that patio season is finally upon us! Our deck is my favorite place to be once the weather warms up. Our deck is about as “outdoorsy” as I get so I like to make the outdoor living space feel really cozy and inviting. The “chill” letters were from Hobby Lobby’s spring collection last year, hopefully they make them again this year!

Outdoor Space Decorating Tips

• Splurge on items you will keep for a long time– like our egg chair. It’s such a statement piece.
• Save on items that won’t withstand weather for years. Like our deck pillows– I picked ours up at the Target Dollar Spot.
• Do NOT buy a white outdoor couch. Learn from my mistake– it gets as dirty as you would expect.
• Get a rug that won’t show the outside elements. I am obsessed with this indoor/outdoor rug from Well Woven.

Add Cozy Vibes

I used siding hooks to add the word “chill” above our sectional. Don’t be afraid to decorate and make your outdoor space feel cozy. Adding in different textures and colors will help the outdoor living space feel cozy and comfortable. The color and texture of our rug warms this space up and makes it feel really inviting.

I staged this with some of my faux plants but I can’t wait to add some real ones, once the temperatures are warm enough in Ohio.
